Just kidding....
There little else to say except that we are still waiting for the sports board to decide when the centre will open, in practical terms they have let the moment pass for us to capitalise on the facility being new and exciting.
To those of you who have been enquiring, I apologise for the delay, it really is out of our hands. Truth is that we cant wait much longer ourselves, it may be that we reach the limit of our resources to wait and step out of the management role.
In the meantime we are looking into some alternative possibilities, KK is ready for a climbing centre....watch this space.

ReplyDeleteMe and my friends (we are all experienced climbers) are going to Malaysia this summer, and I was wondering if you have any info. about routs and boulders in Semporna. And because we are flying there with a plane we won't have any climbing gear (ropes, ATC...) so if you know anybody who could rent us the equipment please let me know.

Well we are about to open the wall at last, I have a meeting tomorrow (monday) to see if we can work something out.
ReplyDeleteSorry Nace, apart from a couple of undeveloped crags on the islands there (high up in the jungle) there is nothing near Semporna. The caves are pretty hairy since they are privately owned and full of scary people, no climbing been developed there either.
I'm a beginner in climbing and very ecstatic to develop my skills and stuffs. I've been active in KL but now back in Sabah, I really hope this wall is opened to public quickly.. Can't wait.. I saw wall in Putatan complex but it's left unused~ dissapointing~
